As artificial intelligence continues to expand in all industries, clinical development and the life sciences are adopting a variety of AI software to simplify their workflows and organization challenges. Gartner recently published a research naming Aspen Insights as a Representative Vendor for clinical development subject curation and protocol optimization Use Case.
“The idea that AI will be embedded in every software application and used to augment existing capabilities begins to reach mainstream acceptance, and solution vendors are under more pressure to shoehorn AI into their solutions and make them “smarter.” For life science (LS) CIOs who wish to optimize clinical trials, this is an appealing trend as sourcing teams can focus on selecting solution vendors who have prebuilt AI capabilities and expertise, rather than build from scratch. Even so, there remains experimental situations, notably in drug discovery research, where homegrown capabilities will need to be built with internal resources or with an AI-savvy technology partner.”
